Exploring Garda Trentino on Gravel Bikes and eMTBs

Maxxis Gravel Garda Trentino

Riva del Garda, May 3, 2024
The first gravel bikers set off this morning at 8:30 am on the 65 or 100-kilometer route through the stunning region of Garda Trentino. With timing in three sections and regional refreshments along the route, the Maxxis Gravel Garda Trentino offered more than just phenomenal views, making it a true pleasure challenge. More than 300 athletes from 23 countries participated in the Maxxis Gravel Garda Trentino – in addition to many Germans, Italians, and other Europeans, Brazilians, Chinese, and Canadians were also present this year.

For participants in the Bosch eMTB Challenge, the starting gun sounded at 9 am in Parco Miralago. Over 200 bikers, including some well-known faces in the industry such as mountain bike legend Guido Tschugg and German YouTuber Jasper Jauch, faced the technical trails and navigational challenges on the various stages of the eMTB race. The challenge offered an exciting route with impressive panoramas and two categories for different skill levels.

At tomorrow's Specialized Bike Marathon, again with UCI status, some of the top-ranked UCI riders will participate. Today, Friday, May 3, the presentation of the best elite athletes (men & women) will take place on the main stage, along with special guest Peter Sagan. Among them are the winners of the Bike Marathon from 2023 and 2022, Leon Hector Paez and Andreas Seewald. Additionally, the current leaders of the UCI World Rankings, Fabian Rabensteiner and Simon Stiebjahn, will compete for valuable points and victory at the Specialized Bike Marathon 2024. In the women's category, defending champion Adelheid Morath will face strong competition. Janina Wüst, Constanza Fasolis, and Sandra Stadelmann are challenging her this year.
